Is it just me who’d really, really like to see a video of this?

Oasis are finished, etc. Old news. Not really something which has affected my life, but I am amused by all of the rumour and hearsay which has surrounded Noel’s quitting of the band. And, before I go any further, I must state that this is - as far as I’m aware - just unconfirmed gossip. I don’t want to get sued for innaccuracy or defamation.

Website holymoly.com is claiming now to have more details of the circumstances of the split, claiming them to be “proper comedy”. A news story on the website alleges:

“The atmosphere was already as awkward as a nun at stag night, so when Noel walked in and made a pithy comment about Liam’s [guitar] playing – the red mist descended [...] Without thinking, Liam hurled the [apaprently £50,000] guitar at Noel. Naturally it missed and landed next at his feet instead.

“Realising Liam had mistakenly thrown his own guitar, Noel looked down, shrugged and stamped seven bells of shit out of it until it resembled the bottom of a hamster’s cage.”

Liam then apparently went mental and raced over to Noel’s rack of guitars, which he toppled over. Noel made a few choice gestures and then got a taxi home.

One word: amazing. If this is true, it’s one of the funniest things I’ve read in quite a while. The Gallagher brothers have always been notoriously volatile, but this takes things to a whole new level. If things really have gotten to this level, I really do hope that they reform – so that they can split again in an even more epic fashion.

Where are citizen journalistswhen you need them? I desperately want to see this for myself, so I really would love to see a video clip of this. Please tell me it’s not just me.
